Sharing the Sea Safely

The Nautical Institute: West of Scotland branch is pleased to invite you to a free seminar; "Sharing the Sea Safely" - Challenges and Opportunities. The event will be held on Tuesday 16th November 2010.

There will be a rich mixture of presentations, question and answer and general discussions on the safe use of our waters. Delegates are invited from a broad background of ‘maritime users’ that will ensure we get views from differing perspectives.

A marine pilot’s view on confined water navigation.

The siminar will take place at The Tall Ship, Glasgow Harbour, 100 Stobcross Road, Glasgow, G3 8QQ on Friday 21st May 0900 – 1630 hrs.

Book Launch

Captain Richard Coates FNI President of The Nautical Institute welcomes you to the launch of a new book entitled ECDIS and Positioning Vol 2. of Integrated Bridge Systems by Dr Andy Norris CNI.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday 16th March 2010, at 11.30am followed by a reception and buffet lunch at 12.30pm at HQS Wellington, Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London, WC2R 2P

AFTERMATH: The Challenges of Salvage, Riverdance and HMS Nottingham will be held on Thursday 11 March in the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, (Auditorium/Drama Theatre) from 17.00 - 19.30.
